The officers of Divine Savior Ministries are appointed by our Governing Board to support all Divine Savior campuses in our mission to spread the good news about Jesus Christ to students, families, and communities through churches and schools. Read on to meet them!

Carlos Leyrer - President, MBA, M.Div
Pastor Carlos Leyrer has served Divine Savior since 2006 in a variety of capacities: Associate Pastor of Divine Savior Church, Superintendent of Divine Savior Academy, and now as the President of Divine Savior Ministries. In his role as President, he moves the mission and vision of DSM forward by creating expansion goals and solutions, by overseeing the fundraising and financing of DSM and our school campuses, and by building relationships with new and existing partners in ministry. He works with Divine Savior Church's Coordinating Pastor and Divine Savior Academy's Head of Schools to build strong bridges between our school and church campuses.
Dana Kirchoff - Vice President
Dana Kirchoff has served Divine Savior since 2012, first as a marketing consultant, then as Director of Communications for DSA-Doral, and now as the Vice President of Divine Savior Ministries. In her role as Vice President, she works with the President to execute our expansion goals by analyzing the needs of our current ministry and creating plans for organizational development. She expands the Divine Savior brand and supports the growth of our schools by overseeing the marketing, public relations, and communications on our campuses through the Divine Savior Marketing Team.
Tim Biesterfeld - Head of Schools, MSIIE
Since 2008, Tim Biesterfeld has served Divine Savior Academy in Doral as a teacher and school administrator. As the Head of Schools for Divine Savior Ministries, he is charged with leadership development on our school campuses, as he supports the principals and administrators of our elementary, middle, and high school programs. He coordinates with DSM's Director of Early Childhood Education to carry out DSA's mission to provide college-prep academics, supportive teachers, and a Christian environment to share Christ's love with students and their families. Biesterfeld leads the efforts of curriculum and program growth, school accreditation, and the development of processes and systems that support all our DSA campuses.
Shawna Mehlberg - Head of Early Childhood Education, M.Ed
Shawna Mehlberg has served Divine Savior Academy as a preschool teacher and early childhood director since 2008. She supports the early childhood directors on our campuses, as well as leads the efforts of curriculum development, teacher training, licensure, and program expansion. She works closely with the Head of Schools to ensure that the educational goals of DSA are met in our early childhood programs.
Ileana Ortiz - Director of Business Operations
Since 2009, Ileana Ortiz has served Divine Savior as the business office manager on our Doral campus. As Director of Business Operations for DSM, she works closely with the President to ensure a solid business foundation for our ministries. She oversees the budgets and business personnel of all DSA campuses, as well as manages the financial operations of our construction projects, develops faculty and staff benefits, and achieves economies of scale for all of our ministries.
